(self.diabetes) submitted 3 years ago by minniepearl. i hope this is an appropriate question here. i had some blood drawn the other day for my annual physical, and my glucose level was 108 (1st time it’s been over 100). you say all other labs were good, but i’m assuming you mean. The fasting plasma glucose test (fpg) is the preferred method for diagnosing diabetes, because it is easy to do, convenient, and less expensive than other tests, according to the american diabetes. Fasting glucose test 70 – 100 mg/dl = normal 101 – 125 mg/dl = prediabetes 126 and above = diabetes therefore, according to the chart above, if the 108 mg/dl blood sugar level was from a fasting glucose test, then it may indicate prediabetes.. Intermittent fasting essentially means that you skip a meal or severely restrict calories on certain days of the week with the intention of losing weight, controlling blood glucose, and/or decreasing heart disease risk. but on the other days of the week, you can pretty much eat what you want (within reason, of course)..

Is a blood sugar reading of 108 too high? my blood sugar reading is 108, it that considered too high. source(s): reading 108 do not consider diabetes ,but pre diabetes that mean that you have to be careful. look at why did i have a sky high fasting glucose of 107 but my a1c was 5.1?.
